LexisNexis Academic is a collection of online fulltext databases covering News, Business, Legal, Medical, and Reference. News includes newspapers, magazines, wire services, broadcast transcripts, regional and international news sources, scholarly & trade journals, and a guide to current issues. Business includes company SEC reports, company profiles and financial data, and accounting literature and standards. Law resources include law reviews (journals), federal and state congressional laws as well as federal court cases. Includes the text of the U.S. Code as well as the Federal Regulations and CFR. It includes hundreds of scholarly journals in a wide range of disciplines.

The Catalog of U.S. Government Publications is the most current index to government documents. It is the official site of the U.S. Government Printing Office.
  Library of Congress Country Studies
Online editions of book-length country profiles produced for U.S. diplomats. This site includes substantial information on each nation's culture, history, economy, and political system. It is searchable by topic and country.
Provides demographic data pertaining to housing, business, income, geogrpahic and climate indicators, women and minority-own business, crime rates, educational attainment and poverty. Data comes directly from the US census and is neatly compiled into very usable format that can be viewed from the national, state, county, city or township level.

A site maintained by the Library of Congress that provides up-to-date and historic information on the U.S. Congress. Users can search the site by bill number or keyword, find members of Congress, and get committee information. The site also provides a full-text search of the "Congressional Record," a daily record of activity in Congress.
  U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
The full text of over 3,000,000 patents from 1976 to present is searchable at the USPTO site. Bibliographic information is available on millions more. The site also offers filing how-to advice for inventors and information on patent law and intellectual property.
